Events
Several events are held every year in Flatonia! The biggest and most popular is Czhilispiel (pronounced “Chili – Spill”), but there are several throughout the year, and can be an easy weekend get-away for those living in Houston, San Antonio, Victoria, Austin, even New Orleans and Dallas!
2012 Events include:
- Flatonia Market Day & Art Fest and the Texas Independence Relay Exchange Zone - March 31st, 2012. Flatonia Downtown Parking Lot – A&C Vendors, Food and Live Entertainment
- June Market Days and Wing Fling - will be held on June 9th, 2012. Get a Spot for $20 and buy or sell household items, antiques, produce, arts & crafts, jewelry etc. Our 3rd Annual Wing Fling Cook Off begins at noon and judging at 3pm. Come on out and try to become of next :King of the Wings”. Flatonia Downtown Pakring Lot.
- Crawfest – in April 21, 2012 at the Flatonia American Legion Hall 6pm to mindnight. Crawfish, Shrimp, Sausage Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Beer, Wine, Tea and music by Broke 60.
- $30.00 a ticket for lots of good eating, drinking and dancing!
- Independence Day Celebration in Flatonia - TBA
- Praska Pout – in Praha, every August 15th
- CZHILISPIEL 40 - Oct. 26, 27 & 28th, 2012
- Christmas in Flatonia - December 1st – Lighting of Christmas Village;
- Wonderful Winter Wine Walk - Friday, Dec. 7th/ or Saturday, Dec. 8th (not decided yet)
- Merry Market (Arts & Crafts), Cookie & Candy Carnival, Santa & Mrs. Claus- Sat., Dec. 8th
