We are very proud of our charming little town and its Czech and German heritage...come visit us and see why. Once you get here, you won't want to leave! Beautiful landscapes, ranches and countryside surrounds our town. We have several Bed and Breakfasts in country settings, a beautiful historic hotel located just one block from the downtown area, lovely cottages recently renovated just on the east end of town and two motels conveniently located on I-10. There is a wide variety of antique and gift shops, pharmacy, and old-world museum and more...all located in our Historic downtown area.

The old, historic Lyric Theatre, which has been closed for years, has recently been purchased and will be historically renovated. As theatres in the past, it will have a stage and a balcony and will be used as a movie theatre. Plans are to make it where it can also be converted to be used as a dinner theatre. We are all so excited to have our theatre back! Keep checking back with us for the opening date.

Flatonia is conveniently located halfway between Houston and San Antonio on Interstate 10 and between Austin and Victoria on State Hwy 95.

We are close enough to quickly get to the "big cities", but far enough away to be a rural community, without the hustle and bustle of th the big city life.

Just click on the Shopping, Dining or Lodging links at the top of the page, then click on the link to the map. A Google map will load. From there, you will be able click on a business listed on the left side of the page and you will see where it is located and what each business has to offer. On the map, you can zoom in or out.
